Portland Haiku

nice february
days have ended once again.
now back to winter.

once again, sleep calls.
i ignore it for so long,
but it catches up.

tomorrow, i work.
yes i must, please don’t stop me.
dammit this sucks. meh.

i am so sleepy,
that my eyelids weigh a ton…
not literally.

oregon, wet, damp.
green moss leeching everywhere.
silver light bounces.

i wish i had the time,
but it would seem i do not.
so here we all are.

i get lost in thought.
there is a bigger picture,
beyond this moment.

life is blowing by.
windy days, soggy and green.
a little more light.

my eyes drooping closed,
leaning forward, finishing…
slumber beckoning…

the light struggles through
gray clouds making them silver.
a shine permeates.
