the weekend arrives,
bringing a lovely drizzle.
the brink of autumn.

another weekend,
saturday, sunday, roll by.
only five more days.

lethargy overwhelms me
as the weekend comes to end.
i think about work.

the weekend rolls by,
barely noticed but enjoyed.
see you in five days.

the weekend ending.
night has fallen, eyes fading.
approaching bed time.

pushing through the day
reaching the end to relax.
weekends are too short.

the weekend draws near,
thursday is such a big tease.
patience, one more day.

goodbye weekend,
i loved every moment.
how about we do it again?
