Portland Haiku

cold, wet, bright and green.
a silvery sky shimmers,
the clouds saunter by.

a wet and warm day.
finally feels like winter,
here in my portland.

cold, wet, rain falling,
a chilly breeze nicks and cuts.
i pull up my hood.

rain falls, not so cold.
very wet, all it touches.
i try to stay dry.

snow falls then melts off,
it could have never been here.
it’s barely wet now.

outside the window
dull gray skies, cold, wet, windy.
waiting for green leaves.

rain begins falling.
cool drops spatter, turning cold.
wet sounds all around.

cold, wet, and rainy.
now our winter has arrived.
it will stay around.

cold, wet beautiful,
the season before winter.
the sun starts to hide.
