Portland Haiku

nice february
days have ended once again.
now back to winter.

portland winter day -
almost balmy, today seemed.
glad to be outside.

a wet and warm day.
finally feels like winter,
here in my portland.

winter has arrived.
bringing no torrent of rain,
but a sharp cold wind

the winter deepens,
on this clear night sky; shining
stars beckoning rain.

cold, wet, and rainy.
now our winter has arrived.
it will stay around.

bright, cool, and clear days.
short bursts of winter color.
then the long night falls.

moist cold soaking in
through the air, drizzling down.
short days and long nights.

winter pushing wind,
the east shoves against the west.
freezing cold hits me.

a cold wet bike ride,
pushing through the wind and rain.
a portland winter.
